It may be a little late in the season to post this but with the extreme cold are having be sure that all areas of your home are being adequately heated ex specially crawl spaces that may have water pipes running through them. This cold can cause pipes to burst and cause costly repairs needing to be done to homes and businesses. If you have a vacant property and the heat is off be sure that you have the property winterized to prevent freezing pipes.
An oz of prevention will help prevent gallons of cure.

Whether you love te weather or not, it's important to make sure your house stays the safe warm place it's meant to be. We have seen a lot of ice damning around the delco area over the past few weeks. This is a diagram of what ice damning is and what it does. If you know anyone experiencing this please let them know we can help by putting heat tape on their gutters and roofs to melt the ice. Thank you!

It's cold outside, this is not new news to anyone. We have had quite a few jobs lately doing repairs to electrical lines and fixtures due water damage from pipes bursting. If you or anyone you know are going out of town be sure to leave the heat on low. Also some crawl spaces have piping that can get frozen even if the heat is on. Make sure your plumbing is insulated. I know a great plumber if anyone needs one to check these things. And if you hears of anyone who has had a flood let them know we can help repair their electric system.
