For Electrical Safety Month, we’re spotlighting Carlos Soto for his strong commitment to electrical safety and the safe work practices that help protect every member of the crew. Jory Smith, Safety Manager, acknowledged, “Electrical work demands respect—for the hazards, the tools, and each other. When we follow the process and look out for our teammates, safety becomes part of how we work, not just something we talk about.” ⚡

Hurricane season prep starts before the winds pick up. This conduit by an open window is a good reminder: anything loose can become a projectile fast.

Jobsite safety checks for high-wind events:
⚡Secure or remove loose materials (including conduit/pipe) and keep them away from openings/windows
⚡Strap down or relocate carts, pallets, and staged materials
⚡Confirm electrical safety: secure temp lighting/cords/panels and protect exposed components from water intrusion

Make hurricane readiness part of your weekly jobsite routine. Secure conduit and staged materials now so strong winds don’t turn them into hazards and help keep crews and communities safe. ⚡
