Enter the Dragon! Dragonwood is rare on the market, and even rarer in large slabs. It’s 2400 Janka Hardness puts it up there - not quite a concrete block, but close! The shades and grain is are awesome - it’s like Black Limba and Pale Moon Ebony had a Central American cousin. Even better, we have a ton of slabs, fresh from Costa Rica. These are sanded, surfaced, and up to 18’ long! Most are 16-22” wide. These are $15.00 a board foot, and we will bet there’s no one in the country selling them at that price. No one has what we have - we promise. Come check em out!

Sahinillo is a downright amazing wood if you're into epoxy. It's a root-like tree, harvested in Costa Rica, that has nooks and voids everywhere, making it an epoxy fantasy-dream! It's hard, durable, and has a great dark streaking to the heartwood. It's swirls and patterns are very similar to Olivewood. 1" boards work excellent for charcuterie, wall art, or small projects, while 2" boards can be pieced together to make a massive epoxy table! Sahirillo is rare, and not easy to find - at all. It's not readily harvested because other woods take priority - but it IS AWESOME. Better yet, we have a TON of it right now. It's priced at $12.00 a board foot. Come get some!

BIG BIG Curly Mango. We have them. This piece is just over 7' long, and 41" wide, 10/4 thick. She's....heavy. This single slab is a dining table waiting to happen! Fresh out of the container from Costa Rica, we have many of these! These have already been surfaced and sanded, and are ready to do your final sanding, apply finish (epoxy if you want), and install legs. Large ones like this are $1000.00. We have smaller ones in the 30" range that are 550-750.

When it comes to dimensional lumber, people generally want select boards, limited cracks, voids, knots, etc. The exact opposite seems to be the case with slabs, where the more “character” that will be filled in by the customers choice of epoxy, the better. These Black Walnut slabs are a prime example, as this was a twisted crotch section of a large tree that had voids, holes, and branches everywhere. Insane figure. These slabs are just under 8’ long and we have several left in the 25-28” range. All 2.5” thick.l, $12.00 a board foot.

Ash is a wood that whispers, it doesn’t shout. It’s hard, sturdy, easy to work with, and has all the great qualities of White Oak without the butterscotch color, or the price. It’s excellent in cutting boards when you need a contrasting wood like Maple, and excellent in furniture, plus it takes stains well. It’s an awesome instrument wood, one of the best for guitar bodies. All that, and it’s slowly disappearing. The Emerald Ash borer has wreaked total hell on the Ash trees in the US, and it’s likely within the next 40 years, all the older growth Ash trees capable of producing lumber and slabs will be gone.

All that, and we’ve got Ash in stock all the time. Right now we’ve got super nice FAS grade 8/4 and 6/4, rough cut. On sale right now for $5.00 a board foot for 6/4 and $6.00 for 8/4.

Our final cake-topper at soon-to-be-open Baaloo Coffee Roasters - a massive cookie-cut Parota community table. This dude is 78" long, and 50" wide - the pictures don't do it justice on just how big it is! It was a massive tree! We currently have several more of these, if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining table that is semi-circular, this may be it!

Bolivian Coffeewood, or Momoqui, is about as hard as it gets. It’s 3600 Janka hardness, smells delicious, and makes unbelievable cutting board material, or really anything. For instance, Dave, our cat, really loves his bougie cat-tree boxes made from it! It’s awesome wood, and $12.00 a board foot, S2S in both 4/4 and 8/4.
