The man with the plan – the safety plan!

Michael Stroud is SWR’s Safety Director and an invaluable member of the team. Along with making sure that our crews follow the rigorous SWR safety protocols, Michael helps oversee many of the more complex projects. Michael has an extensive Safety and Scaffolding background that has proven to be a valuable asset to the SWR team.

Michael recently oversaw the Phase 2 Clayborn Temple Restoration project that included the challenging responsibility to remove, rebuild, and replace an 82’ x 12.5’ truss without removing the roof or the ceiling. He is working magic and helping to restore Memphis.

Toscar Carpenter, better knows as TC, is one of SWR’s supervisors. Most recently, he lead the projects at 2701 Union Avenue Extended (our new office) and 80 Virginia Avenue (National Rose Co.). TC is an amazing asset to our company.

Our featured employee this month is Frances Grady, better known as Fran. Fran started with SWR in 2008 when the company had 12 employees. She has fostered the company's growth and has been a champion for its success since day one. We are happy to have her on our team!

The project Fran remembers most fondly is Crosstown Concourse. She enjoyed riding to the top of the building and viewing the concrete structure prior to the renovation. "It was a big project for the company and we took pride in being a part of it."

Fran says her greatest joy has been watching the company grow, develop, and flourish.
