2018💛
2018 was a lot if I’m being honest. In my last semester of college, I took 21 hours (all for my major💀) and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Art & Entrepreneurship, Sum Cum Laude, from . That entire last semester was full of nothing but big art and business projects, and all of them were aimed at combining my love for photography and painting, and desire to create an art college business outside of art college (still working on this). It was face paced, high level learning, loooots of trial and error, but felt like good confirmation that this, being an artist and entrepreneur, is what I’m supposed to be doing.🎓
I had work in a few shows at Belmont in that last semester, made some of my best art at the time (& some of it is still my best to this day in certain ways), and went on a fun spring break trip to Northern Cali with my college bestie where we, you guessed it, viewed and created art. I literally just created my heart out and played with so many things while building an entire business plan and model for something I still hope to one day make a reality for months on end in 2018, and it was so much fun and such a wild adventure that I had not yet been on.🖼️
Post graduation, I moved back to Memphis, started nannying full-time (ya girl needed that moneyyy), moved downtown with my best friend, and started sloooowly building what is now EHS. I also finally got to see a sunflower field for the first time in my life (and since seeing Van Gogh’s Sunflower painting in London the summer before), and it was one of the most magical things I’ve ever experienced.🌻
Post graduation was kind of a big question mark of what do I next and how do I make it happen, and there was a looooot of nonsense that occurred all throughout 2018 that is not for the internet to know about, but I think I made all the right moves in that second half of 2018 to set myself up for what was to come next in my life. More on that next month (and for the rest of the months leading up to October)!🤪
