I’ve had a few friends contact me about door to door roofers stopping by. They offer free inspections and then try to pressure you into a contract. Be cautious, and if you’re unsure, don’t sign anything!

Here’s a few red flags: High pressure sales tactics. Vague contracts. Requesting payment upfront. Lack of licensing and insurance. Unnecessary repairs or upgrades. Low quality materials or cutting corners. Lacking references.

Get quotes. Talk to friends and family. Read contract carefully. Don’t pay upfront. Shop local.

Be aware of fly by night companies! They are opportunists looking to exploit a bad situation to make quick money, and you’ll probably never see them again In some cases, they are outright scammers! You’ll see lots of them posting on social media. You’ll even have them going door to door. Be aware. Ask your friends and get references.
