I was born and raised here in the Twin Cities and I am the son of a high school woodshop teacher and a Registered Nurse. As a kid, I was always curious about how things work and much to my parent’s dismay, I was often found taking things apart, just to figure out how to put them back together. In my teenage years, my step dad taught me that almost everything that’s broken can be fixed if you apply
some ingenuity to the situation. It was this upbringing that fostered a healthy desire in me to solve any problem I faced. I have been in and around the trades for most of my life; fascinated by the idea that I can design, create, and build things with my own two hands. I have a diverse background working in masonry, finish carpentry, rough framing, mechanics, plumbing, light electrical including low voltage, and pipe fitting. I have a very well-balanced understanding of proper building technique, but also understand that you sometimes need to come up with a quality (and sometimes creative) fix based on the situation that you are presented with. I started Sota Home Services because it’s my goal to provide clients with high-quality value for a fair price. I believe it’s important to provide clear, open and transparent communication with my clients, to answer their questions and provide education along the way, and ensure people feel comfortable and confident in the decisions they are making when working with me. I currently live in Mendota Heights with my wife, Bree, our dog, Maya, and cat, Alley. I enjoy spending time outdoors, driving up north to go camping, fishing, and hiking, trying new restaurants around the area, volunteering in the community, traveling to other countries and places I’ve never seen before, playing disc golf, volleyball, and strength training at the gym. Knowing just how short our summers here are, one of my favorite ways to wind down at the end of the week is by sitting around the firepit in my own backyard.
