Def need the weekend to recharge but LOVING the week we closed out on. From the Paris Couture exhibit, client meetings in office, site and field exploration and the prettiest photo shoot to round out the week - I think we did all we could do this week!

A few days of unseasonably warm temperatures here in the Midwest; and it’s NOT lost on us. We’ve had the office door wide open, added long walks to the week, and a field trip to Minneapolis Institute of Art - finding inspiration in the simple and the well traveled gowns from the Paris Couture.

Drama, layers, texture, and classic silhouettes - buzz words to describe our renovation.

There’s a phase of every project that we secretly love more than the final reveal. Weeks of pre-construction where scope gets defined, budgets are established, selections get made, and the entire project gets engineered on paper before we apply for a permit. It’s tailored, white-glove work, and it’s the reason our construction phase runs the way it does, for our clients and for the trade partners who rely on what we hand them.
 
The industry is moving this direction. In The Association of Professional Builders 2026 SORCI Report, 58.6% of builders now charge for their time during pre-construction, and 58.1% run a documented sales process. Construction companies are leaning into true professional firms, and APB’s coaching is part of how we stay at the front of that.

Minnesota weather was a gift yesterday encouraging an extra long walk and a reminder of all the families purging for the winter months ahead. Garage clean outs, used furniture curbside, windows open with a seasonal clean. If you were in our house it was a healthy load to the good will as we moved a few rooms to replace the carpeting.

The walk in pantry at sets the stage for a new and refreshed space as well, once a functioning kitchen; now a walk in pantry. Another reminder of how we nest this time of year.

It’s possible he was focused on the craft, not the tile, but either way; it deserves a spot on our feed.
