Congratulations to this year’s Lakes Region Parade of Homes winners!

We know how much work, creativity, and collaboration go into bringing each home to life, and we’re excited to celebrate the builders and teams behind this year’s projects.

That’s a wrap on our Lakes Region Parade of Homes throwbacks!

Thirteen homes, fifteen years, and a lot of different ways to live in New Hampshire.

Looking back at these projects reminds us why we love custom building. They don’t all look alike, and they shouldn’t.

Each home was shaped around its setting, its homeowners, and the life happening inside it.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Winnisquam Lookout, 2025

Some homes have a view. Winnisquam Lookout has a whole relationship with the view.

The home feels modern and fresh, but still warm and comfortable. The kind of place where the setting is part of everyday life, not just something you look at.

Working with such great clients made this project even more special. Bill and Robyn trusted the vision, brought their own ideas to the table, and made the whole process a true team effort.

This 2025 Lakes Region Parade of Homes entry won five awards, including People’s Choice and Best Custom Build.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Two Coves, 2024

A house with lake views, a billiard room, and a covered patio with a fireplace is clearly prepared for company.

Two Coves brought together rustic timber details, a floating staircase, wet bar, and plenty of personality on Lake Winnipesaukee.

The kitchen is a standout, with custom cabinetry, thoughtful details, and a design that is both beautiful and highly functional.

And…wait for it…the kitchen won the Best Kitchen award in the 2024 Lakes Region Parade of Homes.

This home was built for family, friends, and a whole lot of gathering.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Buzzell Ridge Lodge, 2021

This traditional log home in Sandwich was built around one thing: family.

With cozy spaces, views from every room, natural woodwork, stonework, and two soaring fireplaces, Buzzell Ridge Lodge was designed for everyone in the family to feel at home.

Every decision came back to how the family would use this home for years to come.

Family was priority number one, and it shows.

Region Parade of Homes Kanasatka Cottage, 2020

As we revisit some of our favorite projects, we’re including a few homes that were part of the virtual Lakes Region Parade of Homes during Covid.

Kanasatka Cottage is a beautiful lakeside home with plenty of character and a story worth revisiting.

This compact cottage was designed to live much bigger than it looks, with an open great room, second-floor loft, four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a screened porch, and a lower-level family room.

The kitchen is the hub of the home, with a custom dining table built right into the island.

Thoughtful design, inviting spaces, and a home that makes the most of its setting.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Highland Cottage, 2018

Small spaces can do a lot.

Highland Cottage was designed as a guest cottage, work studio, second home, or final home. With timber details, an open floor plan, custom kitchen, and loft, this little building made a small footprint go a long way.

Presently, this versatile structure serves as Hayward & Company’s headquarters and design studio.

Small in size, but full of possibilities.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Throwback 2017

There is so much character to this house.

Sachem Cove has a classic look, but there is more going on than meets the eye. Behind the gray shingles and timber frame great room are home automation, geothermal systems, patios, gardens, and a fire pit by the lake.

This Lakes Region Parade of Homes entry was designed to look good, work well, and last.

Classic on the outside, comfortable and modern on the inside.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Throwback 2016

Mountain Ridge kept things on one level and still made room for a lot of living.

The clients had a very traditional style in mind, with a great room, primary suite, four-season porch, cook’s kitchen, family room, guest rooms, and Lake Winnipesaukee views.

No unnecessary stairs. No wasted space. Just a warm, practical home that worked beautifully for the people who lived there.

This 2016 Lakes Region Parade of Homes entry was practical, comfortable, and easy to live in.

That’s a combination that holds up.

Lakes Region Parade of Homes Throwback 2015 - Small footprint. Big lake living.

At 2,127 square feet, Long Island Cottage was designed to make the most of its setting without going oversized.

With three bedrooms, three baths, comfortable gathering spaces, custom finishes, and room to enjoy the view, this cottage proved that you don’t need a huge house to live well at the lake.

And…wait for it…this little home went on to receive five awards in the 2015 Lakes Region Parade of Homes, including People’s Choice, Best Floor Plan, Best Exterior Finish, Best Interior Design, and Best New Construction.

A small house with a pretty impressive showing.
