The intense heat and UV index are hitting hard. To keep your lawn green and stress-free, we’re adjusting our mowing strategy and recommend a quick update to your watering schedule!

💧 Adjust Your Watering
Add Time & Days: Add 15–25 mins per zone and move to 4 watering days a week.
Watch the Clock: Water before sunrise or after sunset. Watering mid-day evaporates too fast and can actually scorch the blades under the intense sun.

🚜 We’re Raising the Cut
We will be mowing at 3.75–4.25 inches (unless you’ve requested otherwise).
Soil Shade: Taller grass creates a canopy that shades the soil, stopping it from drying out.
Deeper Roots: Higher cuts encourage roots to dig deeper for moisture.
W**d Block: A thicker canopy naturally blocks summer weeds.

It is officially that time of year! With irrigation season just around the corner, my schedule is filling up fast. If you want to ensure your lawn stays green and your system is ready to go the moment the water starts flowing, now is the time to get on the books before it’s too late.

2026 Spring Start Up ($75 for up to 6 zones)

• Irrigation system activation
• Clock adjusted for Spring weather
• Basic adjustments
• Minor repairs (heads, housing, and leaks)
• $5 per zone after the first 6

I am currently finalizing my routes to ensure everyone is taken care of as soon as the water is available. If you wait until the water is already on, you might get stuck at the end of the list!

DK Lawn Detailing’s Snow & Ice Protection plans are proactive, not reactive. Service is performed early in the morning or the night before when freezing conditions are forecast, because hidden ice is the most dangerous hazard. Each plan includes up to 10 visits per month, with unused visits rolling over and credited toward the following month. Snowfall over 3 inches may require additional per-event pricing. One-time snow or ice service is also available at $75 per visit. Commercial lots and apartment complexes are welcome. Ask us about our ADA-focused snow and ice management packages.
