We have a few friends who work in the tree care industry, and some times they need assistance when they encounter tricky scenarios where traditional methods of removing a tree cannot be dispatched, so a crane is implemented. This is the owner Kyle meticulously removing a large honey locust (Gleditsia triacanthos) behind Borah High School in Boise, ID. Thank you to all our friends in the tree care industry.

Prescription pruning is a process that involves evaluating a tree’s condition and creating a written plan for how to prune it. The goal is to evaluate the customers needs, then the tree’s needs, and then give an overall written assessment to ensure that the tree’s objectives are met.

“Galls” are a plant's reaction to infiltration by another organism. They are formed by the tree in order to insulate and sequester the infiltrator.
This inadvertently helps the insect (often an insect) complete it's life cycle and is usually of little notable harm to the plant.

This relationship is therefore often deemed to be "commensalism," which, unlike parasitism or mutualism, benefits one of the organisms, and leaves the other relatively unaffected.
