We’re excited to announce that team ESI received the Best Structural Integrity Award at Cantastic Creations 2026!

ESI was honored to participate again this year in The Idaho Food Bank’s annual can sculpture competition, alongside other architecture, design, and engineering teams in our community. Through our hot air balloon structure, we were able to showcase creativity and donate more than 1,500 cans of food and over 300 boxes of pasta, with an emphasis on nutritious, high-protein meal-in-a-can options.

Stop by Boise Towne Square Mall through June 18 to check out the impressive can structures and learn more about how The Idaho Foodbank works to distribute food for millions of meals across the state.

Behind every successful project is a team willing to go the extra mile, and the early completion of the CWI Student Success Center is a perfect example. This milestone reflects the dedication, craftsmanship, and collaboration of our project team, trade partners, and everyone who worked together to make it happen. We are grateful to the College of Western Idaho for the opportunity to help bring this project to life and for the strong partnership that helped drive its success. Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering a project that will make a lasting impact on students, faculty, and the future of our community!

Some of the most important projects aren't always the most visible. Water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and utility infrastructure quietly serve communities every day, providing safe drinking water, protecting the environment, and supporting economic growth. Through innovative treatment technologies, automation, water reuse systems, and process improvements, these exceptionally advanced facilities help communities stretch existing water supplies, reduce demand on natural resources, and support long-term growth. As populations grow and industries expand, these facility investments allow communities to utilize existing water resources while maintaining reliable service for residents and businesses.

Constructing this critical infrastructure requires experienced teams, strong partnerships, and a deep understanding of complex process systems and operational requirements. From treatment plant expansions and process upgrades to new water and wastewater infrastructure, ESI is committed to delivering projects that help municipalities and utility providers meet today's needs while planning for tomorrow's growth. The work may happen behind the scenes, but the impact is felt through the resilience and sustainability these projects provide.

From water reuse and resource recovery to long-term infrastructure planning, there's more happening behind the scenes than many realize. Visit the following link to learn more: https://esiconstruction.com/water-and-wastewater-construction/

Summer internship season is in full swing, and that means it’s time for one of our favorite traditions: the Annual Intern Golf Tournament! While the competition is always fun, the real value comes from the chance to connect with leaders across the company, build relationships with their peers, and gain a deeper understanding of the culture, teamwork, and collaboration that drive our success. Days like these help turn coworkers into teammates and internships into career-launching experiences. Interns, what’s the best career advice you’ve received so far? Drop it in the comments below!

A decade of BVEP bringing together leaders, innovators, and changemakers to discuss the future of our region is something worth celebrating! ESI was honored to support the Boise Valley Economic Partnership's 10th Annual Economic Summit as a presenting sponsor and to have our CEO and President Neil Nelson join a distinguished panel of fellow Idaho business leaders to discuss the history and impact of their organizations on our state's economy and growth.

As Idaho continues to evolve, events and meaningful conversations like these help strengthen our collective vision for the future, and we look forward to continuing to build on that momentum in the years ahead.

What does it take to deliver successful higher education construction on an active college campus? The recently completed College of Western Idaho Health and Science Building provided valuable lessons in progressive design-build delivery, campus logistics, trade partner collaboration, and construction project management. From accommodating rapid enrollment growth and expanding the facility during construction to coordinating specialized equipment and maintaining daily campus operations, every phase required intentional planning, communication, and problem-solving. These are the challenges that make educational facilities and college campus construction uniquely complex and rewarding.

This project reinforced best practices that continue to guide our work across higher education construction, healthcare education facilities, and long-term campus expansion projects across Idaho. Strong partnerships, early integration of trade partners, and a commitment to continuous improvement helped deliver a facility that serves more than 2,000 students while supporting workforce development and the next generation of highly skilled professionals. Check out the full story at the following link and tell us which behind-the-scenes challenge surprised you most: https://esiconstruction.com/higher-education-construction-on-a-live-campus/
