A: These surge protectors are daisy-chained.
Why is it dangerous?
When multiple surge protectors are connected together, they can overload the circuit and create excessive heat buildup. That heat can damage cords, melt components, trip breakers, or even start an electrical fire!
A surge protector is designed to plug directly into a properly grounded wall outlet, not into another power strip.
What to do instead:
✔ Plug surge protectors directly into the wall
✔ Spread electronics across multiple outlets/circuits
✔ Have additional outlets professionally installed if needed
✔ Use commercial-grade power distribution solutions for offices/workspaces
