June is National Safety Month, and there's one fire risk sitting in almost every home that gets ignored: your dryer vent. π₯
Not the lint trap - the actual vent line that runs from the back of your dryer to the outside of your house.
Lint builds up in there over time, restricts airflow, and creates a fire hazard that most homeowners never think about.
Dryer fires are one of the most common causes of residential fires in the U.S.
If your clothes are taking longer to dry, the outside of the dryer feels unusually hot, or the vent flap outside doesn't open when the dryer runs, that's your sign. Get it cleaned. π§―
