One of our favorite parts of renovating older homes is discovering what's been hidden for decades.

During the renovation of this post-and-beam house, we removed the kitchen ceiling and uncovered the original hand-hewn beams, framing, and underside of the roof. The character, craftsmanship, and history revealed in this space instantly changed the direction of the design.

Rather than conceal these incredible structural elements, we chose to celebrate them and make them a focal point of the new kitchen.

This is just one step in the transformation. We can't wait to show you the finished result.

If you've driven by Veteran's Park lately, you've probably noticed some exciting progress!

As many of you know, On The Mend Home Renovations is leading the effort to build a brand-new announcer booth for the Merrimack Junior Tomahawks, and we're working hard toward an ambitious goal: having it ready for the 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡!

This project is only possible because of the incredible generosity and community spirit of our local business partners.

A few weeks ago, 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 stepped up and cleared the trees needed to make way for the project. Last week, 𝐍𝐉𝐁 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 came in and removed the stumps, completed the site work, and installed the gravel base that will support the concrete foundation.

Tomorrow, 𝐂𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 takes the baton and will be pouring the concrete pad that this new booth will stand on.

We can't say enough about how grateful we are for these companies and the talented people behind them. Their willingness to donate time, equipment, expertise, and resources is exactly what makes Merrimack such a special community. This isn't just a construction project. It's neighbors helping neighbors and local businesses investing in the next generation of athletes.

The best part? There are still more amazing partners to introduce as this project moves forward. Over the coming weeks, you'll get to meet the businesses and individuals who will be helping bring this booth from a gravel pad to a finished structure overlooking the field.

Once the concrete is in place, it will be our turn. The 𝐎𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐝 team will begin framing, and you'll really start to see the vision come to life!

Thank you to everyone who has supported this effort so far. We can't wait to welcome the community into Veteran's Park for opening day and show you what can happen when Merrimack comes together for a great cause.
