Freedom isn’t the absence of fear. It’s going for it anyway. Moving through it is what wins.
This painting was inspired by surfers. The curl of a wave holds enormous power, and they don’t turn away from it. They go straight through. Here, the horse and the hawk move through that curl together.
Freedom from fear is its own kind of healing, and nature has a way of helping us get there. It wakes up the senses, quiets the noise, and brings us back to this moment.
