People ask us all the time what makes us different from other electricians. This morning is a good answer. We were on site early, set up the lasers, and ran string lines until every reference on this accent wall was dead level and evenly spaced. Before anything gets mounted, we know exactly where it lands.

Nobody will ever see the lasers or the strings. They'll see a finished wall where everything lines up, and that's the point. Precision like that isn't added at the finish stage. It's built in at layout.

Big light. Tiny hole in the ceiling. ✨

Lutron Rania D2 Downlights, caught at rough-in on a new build. Here's why they've become our go-to for downlighting:

A two-inch aperture that all but disappears in the ceiling. One light engine that tunes from 1800K candlelight to 5500K daylight, with 90+ CRI so stone, wood, and art read true. It dims to 0.1% and drifts warmer on the way down, the way incandescent used to. Paired with HomeWorks, the whole ceiling can follow the desert sun through the day and settle into evening on its own.

And why we like installing them at this stage:

The housing is airtight, IC-rated, and as shallow as two inches, so it tucks into tight joist bays and low plenums. Adjustable hanger bars let us dial in exact placement before a single sheet of drywall goes up, so every fixture lands on center and in line. That foam plug keeps the optic clean through mud, sand, and paint. Trim goes in last, flanged or flangeless mud-in for a trimless look. And the driver and light engine are field-serviceable, so no ceiling surgery years down the road.

We’re up in Lake Havasu with Marcos, our in-house electrician, wrapping up the rough-in phase on this custom home. From precise fixture locations and electrical centers to integrated LED lighting, every detail is being planned and wired now so the finish comes together exactly as designed.

Good partners make good projects.

Big shout out to our partner Mountain Desert Development for having conduit sleeved and in place for Coastal Source outdoor audio well before we ever stepped on site. No cutting into finished hardscape. No compromises on speaker placement. No scrambling to hide a run that should have been planned six months earlier.
That is what planning ahead looks like on a luxury new build, and it is the difference between a system that was designed in and one that was worked around.

We turned this backyard into a full outdoor living experience, the kind of space where Sunday football, late-night movies, and summer pool days all happen in the same spot.

What went into it:
