Journeyman Painter

Job Description:
As a Journeyman Painter, you'll work on jobs with other team members or independently. You will be expected to complete all aspects of the assigned work without assistance if necessary. You are expected to be proficient in all tasks, including but not limited to the following-

-Cutting and rolling all types of paints and primers
-Spraying paints and primers with airless and HVLP paint sprayers
-Complete minor surface repairs in preparation for painting
-Matching and applying various types of interior and exterior textures on drywall and stucco surfaces
-Troubleshooting equipment and job quality
-Create solutions on the job when unexpected conditions occur
-Match and apply various stains and clear coats on cabinets
-Prepare concrete for the application of various epoxy and urethane coatings
-Application of epoxy/polyurethane chip coatings
-Communicate clearly with customers and managers

Pay range for this position is $20.00-$26.00 per hour.
Paid vacation after 1 year.
Paid sick leave after 6 months.
Paid holidays, 5 per year.
Performance bonuses.
Company matching IRA savings plan up to 3%.

Just a quick PSA. Just because someone says they are licensed doesn't necessarily mean that they are. As a homeowner or business owner you have a right to ask to see it. A city handyman license is not a contractor license. A person with a handyman license is limited to no more than $1000 in work including cost of materials. Also, out of state licenses are not valid in Nevada no matter what the contractor says. Our law requires a Nevada Contractors License to do any work above $1000.
A valid Nevada State Contractor's license will protect you if any goes wrong or if the job isn't completed properly for any reason.
