I've had a few people ask if "semi-retired" means I've stopped working. Not even close.
We're still working—we're just taking a little more time to enjoy life while we can. It's all about finding a better balance.
We still have room in our schedule and are happy to take on your electrical projects.
Summer hours: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. After that, it's usually just too hot to be working outside safely.
We're available every day, just with shorter hours during the summer.
The truth is, I'll probably never fully retire. As long as I can safely climb a ladder and feel comfortable working in a live electrical panel, I'll keep doing what I enjoy.

Outdoor receptacle installation tip: if the homeowner can’t even open the cover to plug something in, it probably wasn’t installed in the right way.

I came across this outdoor receptacle installation today and it reminded me why the little details matter in electrical work.
Outdoor outlets should always be installed so the weatherproof cover can open fully and allow a cord to be plugged in while still staying protected from the elements. When they’re installed too low in landscaping or surrounded by rock, the cover can’t open properly and the outlet becomes difficult — or impossible — for the homeowner to actually use.
Good electrical work isn’t just about making something function today. It’s about installing it in a way that is safe, accessible, and usable for the homeowner for years to come.
These are the kinds of details electricians learn to pay attention to over time, because the goal should always be leaving a customer with something that works the way it was intended to.
Sometimes the difference between an average installation and a professional one comes down to thinking ahead about how the homeowner will actually use it.

We've been wondering why our phones havent been ringing as much.
