I just officially graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program — and I want to tell you exactly what that means, because this is bigger than a certificate on the wall.
💼 WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) is a $500 million national initiative designed to help small business owners grow their companies and create jobs in their communities. It's 100% funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation — zero cost to participants. To even be selected, your business has to qualify. It's not open to everyone.
I completed Cohort 34 right here in Dallas through Dallas College, in partnership with one of the most respected business schools in the world.
📚 THE CURRICULUM — BUILT BY BABSON COLLEGE
The entire curriculum was designed by Babson College. If you don't know Babson, let me put it in perspective:
🏆 Ranked #1 for Entrepreneurship by U.S. News & World Report — 29 consecutive years
🏆 Ranked #2 Best College in the U.S. by The Wall Street Journal
🏆 Ranked #7 overall in the country by LinkedIn
🏆 Ranked #1 for producing founders and entrepreneurs — LinkedIn, 2025
This isn't a participation program. The curriculum covers over 100 hours of real instruction in financial management, marketing, negotiations, operations, leadership, and growth strategy — organized into 9 business modules and 4 live clinics. You walk out with a fully developed, customized growth plan for your business.
And according to program data, 66% of graduates report a revenue increase within just 6 months of completing the program.
🔨 WHAT IT'S ALREADY DOING FOR WILCO CONTRACTORS
I came in as a roofing and restoration contractor with a solid foundation and a big vision. I'm leaving with a clear, executable plan to take Wilco into the commercial market.
Here's what changed for me personally:
✅ I built a full commercial expansion strategy — targeting $100K–$500K roofing contracts with general contractors in DFW
✅ I learned how to leverage our MBE, HUB, and SBE certifications as a competitive advantage, not just a checkbox
✅ I built a multi-year financial forecast that shows exactly where Wilco is headed by 2028
✅ I clarified our organizational structure and what hires we need to scale
✅ I developed a digital marketing strategy built around authority, trust, and lead generation
Wilco Contractors is no longer just a residential roofing and remodeling company. We are a certified, growing into a commercial roofing, remodeling and restoration company — and the roadmap is locked in.
Thank you to Goldman Sachs, Dallas College, Babson College, every business advisor, faculty member, and my entire Cohort 34 family. You poured into me — and I'm going to make it count.
DFW, watch what we build. 🏗️
