We walked into this project thinking it would be a few months.
Instead, it quietly became
the year. 🤍
For most of 2025, my days — and some nights — were spent inside this building, looking out at this view, in the heart of the French Quarter, overlooking the city I’ve called home my entire life. 🤍
A grand historic Italianate hall on Esplanade Avenue — where architecture, history, oak trees, and time layer gently on top of one another, just as New Orleans does best. 🤍
Not every day was easy.
But every day held beauty. 🤍
There were surprises, pivots, lessons, and moments this year that asked me for more than expected — a familiar theme of the year itself.
What began as one thing slowly revealed itself as another, and somehow still remained deeply meaningful, shaped by grace I could only recognize looking back. 🤍
The condo we worked on inside this building was a joy, and the client even more so — a true delight and a reflection of the kind of people-centered work I’ve always believed in.
There are many places I could have been working this year.
I’m profoundly grateful this was one of them — and thankful to God for placing me exactly where I needed to be. 🙏🏼
Here’s to craftsmanship, patience, unexpected timelines, and finding grace right where you are.
Happy New Year 🤍
