As part of the renovation project on the Tchefuncte River, one area that absolutely needed attention was the existing HVAC platform structure. Years of weather exposure and aging lumber had left the original stand deteriorated, unstable, and no longer appropriate for supporting critical mechanical equipment.

Instead of continuing to patch and repair the old structure, the homeowners decided to invest in a complete rebuild designed for both durability and appearance.

Project Highlights:

• Removal and demolition of the existing failing wood HVAC stand
• Installation of a brand-new elevated structural platform system
• New concrete footings and upgraded framing for long-term stability
• Replacement with weather-resistant materials designed for the Louisiana climate
• Improved support and layout for the HVAC equipment and filtration system
• Cleaner, more organized appearance that better matches the upgraded exterior of the home
• Enhanced accessibility for future maintenance and servicing
• A substantial improvement in both safety and longevity

✨ Exterior Transformation on the Tchefuncte River ✨

This project in St. Tammany Parish was a major upgrade focused on both long-term durability and improving the overall feel of the home. Being raised high above the ground with a large staircase and elevated rear porch, this outdoor space had seen years of weather exposure and ongoing maintenance.

The homeowner reached a point where constantly repairing and repainting the wood structure was no longer practical, so we took the opportunity to completely reimagine the space with materials and finishes built to last.

Project Highlights:

• Demolition and replacement of the existing exterior porch and staircase structure
• Installation of low-maintenance, weather-resistant materials designed for long-term durability
• New covered roof structure to make the outdoor area more functional and inviting year-round
• Finished beadboard-style ceiling with recessed lighting and large outdoor ceiling fans

✨ Bathroom Upgrade: Function Meets Comfort ✨

This project was all about rethinking the space to better fit the homeowner’s needs while creating a clean, updated look. By removing the existing whirlpool bath tub/shower combo, we opened up the space and built a layout that feels both more functional and more refined.

We took the space down to the framing so the plumbing, electrical, lighting, and layout could all be redesigned the right way from the start.

This one was a little different than our usual projects.

When our youngest team member needed an X-Wing float for his Mardi Gras parade at St Catherine of Siena… the crew went to work.

Swipe to see where it started → from a hand sketch on graph paper to raw plywood, to mounting it on a wagon, to parade day in full force.

What started as a simple idea turned into a full team effort - measuring, framing, cutting, assembling, and figuring it out along the way.

It’s the same problem-solving mindset we bring to every job site.

We believe being part of a community means showing up - not just for projects, but for our families too.

✨ Front Porch Update ✨

A homeowner reached out to us about the front porch posts on her home. The existing posts were original and made of beautiful, ornate iron - but after years of exposure, they were beginning to fail due to rust at the base.

Together, we came up with a new approach that balanced durability, low maintenance, and updated curb appeal:

Removed the failing iron posts that had rusted at the bottom

Installed pressure-treated 4”x4” structural posts, elevated on mounting brackets for proper uplift and wind resistance

Wrapped the posts in James Hardie fiber cement for long-term durability

Added top and bottom trim details to enhance the overall look

Finished it all with paint for a clean, refreshed appearance

The result completely revamped the front of the home - a small project that took just a couple of days, but delivered a huge visual and functional improvement.

Sometimes it’s the little upgrades that make the biggest difference!

For this Uptown New Orleans home, we optimized every inch of the existing layout to create a bathroom that’s both stunning and functional.

Here’s what made the difference:

🚿 Glass shower enclosure with two open sides and a door, expanding the sense of space and light.

🎨 Continuous tile design — the same tile flows from the bathroom floor into the shower, keeping the room open and unified.

🧴 Hidden shower niche, positioned out of sight from the entryway for a clean, organized look.

🪨 One incredible slab of porcelain used for an entire shower wall, providing a bold, seamless focal point.

🪞 Custom vanity top crafted from the remaining porcelain — perfectly tying the space together and supporting a basin-style sink.

The result is a high-end, spa-like retreat that feels open, modern, and completely refreshed — a true transformation that balances beauty and function.
