A major curb appeal upgrade that still feels true to the original home.

This project started with a simple front entry and an open concrete porch area. We reframed the front to create a full raised porch, giving the home a much stronger and more welcoming presence from the street.

We also opened up the entry and added sidelites on both sides of the front door, bringing more natural light into the home and giving the entrance a wider, more finished look.

The new porch includes updated steps, railings, columns, trim, and decking, all designed to complement the home’s original character rather than compete with it. The existing blue siding and red accents really come to life with the new white trim and dark porch floor.

Small layout changes can make a big difference.

After purchasing this home, the homeowners felt the oversized laundry room was taking up space that could be better used in the adjoining living room.

We proposed reworking the layout by recessing a custom entertainment center into the unused portion of the laundry room and relocating the dryer beside the washer. After seeing our design mockup, they loved how much more functional it would make the living room.

With the water heater moved into the attic, we were also able to replace the old utility sink with a stone countertop, undermount sink, and wall-to-wall cabinetry—adding plenty of storage while giving the laundry room a much cleaner, more finished look.

The result is two spaces that now work much better for the homeowners without adding any square footage.

SEVERE WEATHER ALERT – CHECK YOUR HOME FOR DAMAGE

Last night’s storms brought heavy rain, strong winds, and reported tornado activity across parts of Southeast Louisiana. Even if your home looks fine from the ground, wind and water damage can sometimes go unnoticed until it becomes a larger problem.

After severe weather, we recommend checking for:

✔ Missing or lifted shingles
✔ Fallen tree limbs on roofs
✔ Water stains on ceilings or walls
✔ Damaged siding, soffit, or fascia
✔ Fence and exterior property damage
✔ Standing water around the home

If you notice damage—or just want peace of mind—our team can perform an inspection and help you understand the next steps.

At Banner Property Management, we’ve been helping homeowners throughout the Greater New Orleans area recover from storm damage since 1991.

🏡 Front Staircase & Porch Transformation — St. Tammany Parish

This elevated front entrance had seen years of Louisiana weather. The wood treads were fading and splitting, debris was collecting between boards, and the overall look no longer matched the home's character.

We demolished the entire staircase and replaced it top to bottom: composite treads in a clean slate gray, all-new composite railings on the staircase and around the porch, and updated newel post details throughout. Nothing carried over from the old structure except the brick columns doing their job underneath.

Project highlights:
✔ Full staircase demolition and rebuild
✔ Composite treads - no more painting, no more rotting
✔ All-new composite railing system on stairs and porch surround
✔ Updated newel post and baluster details
✔ Built to handle the heat, humidity, and storms of South Louisiana

The result is a front entrance that looks sharp, holds up, and won't need constant attention. That's the BPM standard.

As part of the renovation project on the Tchefuncte River, one area that absolutely needed attention was the existing HVAC platform structure. Years of weather exposure and aging lumber had left the original stand deteriorated, unstable, and no longer appropriate for supporting critical mechanical equipment.

Instead of continuing to patch and repair the old structure, the homeowners decided to invest in a complete rebuild designed for both durability and appearance.

Project Highlights:

• Removal and demolition of the existing failing wood HVAC stand
• Installation of a brand-new elevated structural platform system
• New concrete footings and upgraded framing for long-term stability
• Replacement with weather-resistant materials designed for the Louisiana climate
• Improved support and layout for the HVAC equipment and filtration system
• Cleaner, more organized appearance that better matches the upgraded exterior of the home
• Enhanced accessibility for future maintenance and servicing
• A substantial improvement in both safety and longevity

Projects like this are a great example of how functional upgrades can also dramatically improve the overall appearance of a property. What was once an aging and unsafe structure is now a clean, solid, long-lasting installation built to handle years of exposure with minimal maintenance.

✨ Exterior Transformation on the Tchefuncte River ✨

This project in St. Tammany Parish was a major upgrade focused on both long-term durability and improving the overall feel of the home. Being raised high above the ground with a large staircase and elevated rear porch, this outdoor space had seen years of weather exposure and ongoing maintenance.

The homeowner reached a point where constantly repairing and repainting the wood structure was no longer practical, so we took the opportunity to completely reimagine the space with materials and finishes built to last.

Project Highlights:

• Demolition and replacement of the existing exterior porch and staircase structure
• Installation of low-maintenance, weather-resistant materials designed for long-term durability
• New covered roof structure to make the outdoor area more functional and inviting year-round
• Finished beadboard-style ceiling with recessed lighting and large outdoor ceiling fans
• Updated railing system and staircase for a clean, modern coastal look
• Composite-style decking to eliminate the constant upkeep associated with traditional wood
• Structural improvements to help protect the home from the harsh Louisiana climate
• A dramatic improvement in both curb appeal and everyday usability of the outdoor living space

The finished product completely transformed the rear elevation of the home while creating a space the homeowners can actually enjoy instead of constantly maintaining. A tremendous investment in both the longevity of the structure and the overall value and appeal of the property.
