From Rotting Subfloor to Open Concept Kitchen

North Brunswick, NJ | Summer 2025

When we began this project, the kitchen had active plumbing leaks, a rotting subfloor, and outdated electrical that needed attention.

Before installing any finishes, we addressed the real issues first.

→ Damaged flooring was removed and replaced.
→ Electrical was brought up to current code.
→ Proper venting was installed for the exhaust hood.
→ The sink was relocated and new refrigerator water lines were run correctly.

We also removed walls to open the layout, added a new window for natural light, and leveled both the floors and ceiling.

From framing and sheetrock to cabinets, peninsula installation, backsplash, and floor tile, every step was completed carefully.

The result is not just a beautiful kitchen. It is a safe, properly built one.

Just finished a kitchen in Martinsville for wonderful customers. I hope I was able to bring their kitchen to fruition for them. Removed an entire wall and used a flush beam in its place. New window, new slider, farm sink and an eat at island, and re-finished floors. My favorite is the wine and prep area on the back wall

Another rip-out and re do windows floor, cabinets, hand built storage seats in the breakfast nook. The customer was great and wanted more room and storage in her kitchen. The house was built in the ‘30s. Rebuilt the entire wall for refrigerator and cabinets and a garden window over the sink. Some before pics at the end. Design by Anne at Builders General.
