Looking back at these pictures from the first couple years of Soulful Stems, I find myself missing this little garden. ๐ŸŒฑ

My boys were 1 & 4yrs old. We would come outside every morning and I'd watch them play while I strolled through my corner of the yard with a coffee in my hand. Checking on seedlings. Watching for blooms. Probably taking way too many pictures. ๐Ÿ˜‚
I was so excited about everything.

Every flower felt like an accomplishment. Every new variety felt like something worth getting excited about. I was learning constantly, experimenting, making mistakes and figuring things out as I went.
Looking at these pictures reminds me of where I started and how it felt when I started.
I was having so much fun.

I think I need a little more of that feeling again.
A little less pressure to make everything bigger, better, or more.
Just a reminder to slow down and create something that I enjoy. ๐Ÿฉท

As I wrap up this season, Iโ€™ve found myself thinking a lot about the last five years of growing flowers.
Next year will be my sixth year on the farm, and I think itโ€™s time I admit something I admit every year: Iโ€™m still figuring this out. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Every year I make plans. Every year I have a vision for how things will run. And every year, the farm has a way of reminding me that things don't always go according to plan.

Life with my kids and family is busy. I also have some autoimmune health challenges that bring a level of fatigue I have to work around, and farming is a physically demanding job. Sometimes my plans and my energy simply don't match.

I know Iโ€™m not always as organized as I should be, and I donโ€™t always stick to the schedule I intended to. Iโ€™m sure those things are noticeable to those of you who have followed my journey over the years.

I have to remind myself that Iโ€™m not a failure. Iโ€™ve been able to grow so many incredible flowers and I have learned so much about plants, soil, and the floral and farming industry over these five years. That part is a win!!
I just need to figure out how to run this farm in a way that is actually sustainable for me. And honestly, I say some version of that every year as well. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This season was particularly difficult. We experienced tremendous loss on the farm, and by the end of July, I was physically and mentally exhausted. There were honestly moments when I wondered if I could keep doing this. I was ready to throw in the towel.. for a moment.
But I can't walk away. I love it too much.

So Iโ€™m going to use this off-season to rest, get organized, and really think about what I can realistically take on next year. I had hoped to do a fall Bouquet Club, but Iโ€™ve decided that taking this time off is the right decision.

And to the 36 of you who trusted me with your Bouquet Club subscription this yearโ€”thank you. You put your money and your trust in me months before you ever knew what those bouquets would look like, and I donโ€™t take that lightly. ๐Ÿฉท

I want to give a huge shout-out to Flowerson66 Leotie Bouquets & Design Maypop Flower Farm & Missouri Flower Exchange for helping me fill the supply gaps in all my bouquets each week with their beautiful flowers. A little over half the money you spent for this bouquet went to supporting these farms, too. Which makes my heart happy.

This season didn't go the way I wanted it to. But Iโ€™m grateful you were here for it, and Iโ€™m grateful I get to keep figuring this thing out. ๐Ÿ’

Meet **Lizzy McGuire!** โ˜€๏ธ

Why the name? Because shes girly and the early 2000s are making a comeback... and thankfully, so is locally grown and handcrafted. ๐ŸŒผ

This week's bouquet features pink **"Lizzy"**-anthus, Queeny Lemon Peach zinnias (my personal favorite!), velvety celosia, cascading amaranth, and fresh greenery. As always, I couldn't resist adding great texture.

This subscription may not have gone exactly as I envisioned, but it was still filled with beauty, growth, and so much joy. Thank you for supporting local flowers, cheering me on through the season, and welcoming these bouquets into your homes each week.

I hope you loved this summer subscription as much as I loved sharing them with you. Until next season! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿงก

Good morning, flower friends! ๐ŸŒผ
Week 5 bouquets are ripe for the picking at Chapters & Sweet Neetโ€™s Coffee & Treats! ๐Ÿ’

This weeks bouquet was harder to name but I finally landed on....

THE BUTTERED PEACH! ๐Ÿงˆ ๐Ÿ‘

Each one has buttery yellow lisanthus and velvety soft peachy celosia! Very summery and actually reminds me of my favorite summer dessert, peach cobbler!

These stems have a lot of branches so don't be afraid to cut them apart with clean snips before arranging them in your vase.
Pro tip: I usually start with placing my filler or focal flowers in the shape of heart that's taller on one side, then I fill in all the gaps while keeping that shape. โœ‚๏ธ ๐Ÿซ™ ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›

Good luck, have fun and thank you so much!
Theres a few extras available for purchase at Chapters! $25 each. Use the QR code or cash. ๐Ÿ’ธ

This week's bouquet is Vintage Americana 250 in honor of America's 250th anniversary!

I had to source quite a few blooms from other local farmers this week. They're a little different than the vision I originally had, but I still hope you guys love them. They still capture that vintage Americana feel.

Thank you all so much for your supportโ€”it truly means the world to me.
If you ordered an extra bouquet, I'm finishing those up tonight and they'll be ready for pick-up tomorrow by 7:30 a.m at Chapters! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Friends, I need to make a small change to tomorrow's bouquet pickup. ๐Ÿ’

I truly thought I'd be able to have everything ready by 7:30 a.m., but I overestimated what I could accomplish today. Between a very early morning golf tournament in Tulsa with the kids today, getting flowers prepped this evening, and arranging bouquets, my body is simply shutting down and calling it a night. To add more, I had a doctors appointment in OKC tomorrow at 12 that I totally forgot about. I was going to try and deliver bouquets by 7am and hit the road for it. Thankfully, I was able to reschedule.

It's 11:30pm and I'm not even halfway through. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Rather than rush through the rest exhausted, I'd rather finish them tomorrow morning with fresh eyes and have them delivered tomorrow afternoon.

If you were planning to pick up your bouquet at 7:30 a.m., please send me a message. I do have some bouquets finished, and I'm happy to have you pick up from my house or meet you at Shawnee Grocery in the morning.

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding. โค๏ธ
