I might just be leaving here from this ordinary looking job site at 8 o’clock but I woulda stayed longer if I coulda. This one was really special to me. Prolly only 2nd to my mother and I tearing off 2 layers and roofing my grandmas entire roof which happens to be a house that my grandpa built for his family. Well this one didn’t hit me quite as hard but almost. This is the home of my grandpas best friend and old family friend Eddie Young. As long as I have ever known him which is my entire life Eddie has been quite the character to be around but when I got the call for the bid I knew I had to get the job. I spent countless nights with my grandpa and our friend Eddie just laughing and teasing and having fun. Oh and competing. Them 2 old men loved to compete against each other and watching all the ornery pranks and crude comments that would be made would always make things that much more entertaining. To say that those the 2 men enstilled most if not all of the better values and morals that I live by and played one of the biggest roles in shaping me into the man that I have become. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to tackle this project for ya Eddie Young and all the memories that doin this project for ya has brought back. I sure do miss you Papa and hope you’re proud of the things I am working towards.
