--> Must-see summer exhibition at the Pérez Art Museum Miami opening June 25th, “Basquiat: Figures, Signs, Symbols,” a curated exhibition of 10 works by Jean-Michel Basquiat from the private collection of collector Kenneth C. Griffin. A record-breaking Basquiat painting is coming to Miami this summer, anchoring a must-see exhibition at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), on view from June 25, 2026 – June 6, 2027. At the center of the presentation is the artist’s iconic 1982 work Untitled — the $110.5 million painting that set auction records and reaffirmed Basquiat’s global cultural and market significance. Curated by PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans and Curator Megan Kincaid, the exhibition highlights Basquiat’s powerful visual language, spanning portraiture, symbolic systems, text, and expressive compositional structure. Timed alongside Miami’s heightened international visibility during major global events this summer, the exhibition positions Basquiat not only within market history, but within a broader cultural and intellectual context.

--> As Miami takes center stage during the 2026 World Cup, monumental jaguar sculptures by Brazilian artists will transform the city into an immersive celebration of art, culture, and conservation. In 2026, monumental jaguar sculptures created by Brazilian artists will take over Miami as part of Jaguar Parade, one of the world’s largest public art and conservation initiatives. Transforming the city into a vibrant open-air gallery, the project invites residents and visitors to experience art across public spaces while raising awareness about jaguar conservation and biodiversity protection. Created and produced by Artery, the Miami edition will feature 11 large-scale jaguar sculptures installed across key locations throughout the city. Blending artistic expression with environmental purpose, the installations are designed to spark curiosity, interaction and meaningful conversations around nature and conservation. Among the featured works, one sculpture will be painted live during a special activation on June 9 by acclaimed Brazilian urban figurative artist Fabiano Senk. Based in São Paulo, Senk is recognized for his dreamlike color palettes and large-scale works exploring themes of community, identity and human connection. See link for more info!

--> Must-See immersive installations at The Frank Pembroke Pines, Monumentalizing the Trace, the first solo exhibition by the collaborative artist duo TREIZMAN + ZURILLA, formed by Miami-based artists Denise Treizman and Julia Zurilla, on view at The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery from May 14 through August 29, 2026 - curated by The Frank Chief Curator Sophie Bonet. Conceived as a continuous installation that unfolds across the gallery, the exhibition transforms the space into an immersive environment where image, material, and architecture converge. The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery is located at 601 City Center Way in City of Pembroke Pines, Florida 33025. Working across video, sculpture, and spatial intervention, Treizman and Zurilla construct a dynamic dialogue between analog and digital processes, presence and absence, permanence and impermanence. --> Old School Square Cornell Art Museum in Delray presents the Opening Reception for Persistence of Matter on Friday, June 5th from 6 – 9pm, an exhibition showcasing artists who transform the forgotten into the unforgettable. Through thoughtful upcycling and environmental awareness, participating artists reimagine discarded materials—revealing their resilience, hidden histories, and potential for renewal. This group exhibition explores the enduring life of materials and the idea that what we discard does not simply disappear. Instead, it remains, shifts form, and waits for imagination. By elevating cast-off objects into compelling works of art, the artists challenge viewers to reconsider consumption, waste, and the environmental impact of everyday materials. Persistence of Matter celebrates the belief that what is discarded still holds value—and through creativity, it can be renewed, repurposed, and given a second life.

--> "Internationally Collected Autistic Artist Vito Bonanno's Artwork in the Corporate Collections of AMAZON and Google." Internationally collected mixed media artist Vito Bonanno taps into the daily emotional and social challenges of living with autism, placing his innermost feelings onto canvas. The New England-based artist's work is image and concept-driven and embedded in his personal philosophy. His art contains the essence of his life, feelings, thoughts, and dreams, coupled with objects or topics that "get stuck in his head", including traffic lights, grids, ceiling fans, graffiti, and pop culture. Corporate clients include AMAZON, Google, and The Hartford. Vito is aligned with ArtLifting, which is a non-for-profit art organization that empowers artists living with disabilities through the celebration and sale of their artwork. ArtLifting is about creating opportunity, empowerment, and validation. This collaboration opened many new and exciting opportunities for the artist, which includes his work in Google's corporate collection, with art hanging in their Leesburg, VA offices, as well as Amazon, for one of their corporate buildings in Seattle, Washington. Bonanno was diagnosed with PDD/Autism just before his 4th birthday. Because he was language delayed, his parents and teachers developed strategies that tapped into his high visual acuity, utilizing storyboard styles to relay academic and social information. He was also encouraged to draw in storyboard format to express his feelings. The storyboard grid remains prominent in his work and studio preparation today and is a poignant reminder of a boy who was trapped in his own mind.
