Tropical, but make it intentional.

A statement Bird of Paradise sets the height, then Red Congo, bamboo grass, Philodendron gloriosum and bromeliads bring in the layers, texture and movement.

This is how I like to build a tropical garden — lush, balanced and anything but basic.

Same table. New plants. Completely different look.

Sometimes I just have to clear everything out and start over. And with all the new plants arriving at the Garden, I had plenty to work with.
