With the recent beach erosion caused by high water levels and increased wave size and strength in Lake Michigan, we were contacted by a homeowner inquiring about installing sand bags as a wall to support the bluff next to their home and prevent further erosion. As the sandbags were laid, we backfilled to add additional support to the bluff and as a way to block waves from eroding the bluff further. Here are some pictures showing the work done.
