With expected drops in temperatures over the next 10 days and temps to remain below freezing during the day and drop into the teens overnight , we recommend taking the following precautions to protect your home:

- Prevent Frozen Pipes: Run one faucet at a slow drip to keep water moving. For pipes located on outside walls, such as those under a kitchen sink or vanity, leave the cabinet doors open to allow warm air to circulate.
- Thawing Pipes: If a pipe freezes, place a fan outside the open cabinet to blow warm air toward the pipes.
- Outdoor Maintenance: Ensure all garden hoses are disconnected. Keep high-efficiency heater and water heater vents, as well as gas meters, clear of drifting snow.
- Space Heaters: Use extreme caution when operating portable space heaters.
- Community Safety: If possible, please clear snow from around nearby fire hydrants to ensure the fire department has immediate access in an emergency.

Hello friends and neighbors,

With colder weather approaching, we want to remind you to take a few proactive steps to prepare your plumbing and home for winter.

First, please disconnect all garden hoses from your outdoor hose bibs. This simple action is crucial, as even frost-free hose bibs can freeze and crack if a hose is left connected, potentially causing damage inside your home.

Second, check all exterior vents and piping around your home, including dryer vents, heater, and water heater exhaust pipes. Ensure they are clear of leaves, debris, and snow to prevent equipment failure and hazardous situations.

Finally, locate your main water shut-off valve. Knowing its location is vital in case of a plumbing emergency. If you are concerned about pipes freezing or have experienced issues in the past, consider opening cabinet and interior doors to allow heat to circulate more freely throughout your home. Should you experience a frozen pipe, you can try thawing the line with a space heater or fan to prevent a larger issue.

Please do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions or concerns. While fall reminds us how beautiful it is to let things go, don't let your plumbing issues go unaddressed.

Hello friends, neighbors and customers with the drop in temperature we would like to remind you to remove your garden hoses from your house. Your hose can freeze and your outside faucet may crack. This can cause you an unneeded expense and possible damage to your home and plumbing system.
Also remember to keep all drifting leaves and snow away from your vents from your dryer, water heater and heater. This can be a danger and cause problems with your systems.
