Another complete HVAC and water heater replacement by Manzella Home Services! 🔥❄️💧
Every installation presents its own challenges, and this project was no exception.
The original condenser was installed through the wall, requiring modifications to accommodate the new Goodman air conditioning system. Inside, we removed the aging furnace and water heater and installed a brand-new Goodman furnace, Goodman air conditioning system, and Bradford White water heater.
One of the biggest challenges was the location of the existing water heater, which blocked the required working clearance in front of the electrical panel. The original plan was to relocate the electrical panel to meet code requirements—adding unnecessary cost for the homeowner.
After coordinating with the electrician, we redesigned the mechanical room and relocated the new water heater instead. This provided the required electrical panel clearance, made the electrician's job easier, kept the installation code-compliant, and saved the homeowner the added expense of moving the panel.

🚨 Sometimes a simple A/C replacement turns into something much more serious.
This customer originally called us because their air conditioner had failed and needed to be replaced. As we removed the evaporator coil, we discovered something that couldn't be ignored...
The furnace's heat exchanger had multiple rusted-through holes. A cracked or failed heat exchanger can allow combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, to enter the home's air supply.
Rather than simply replacing the A/C and walking away, we stopped, documented the damage, and brought the customer over to show them exactly what we found. Once they saw the condition of the heat exchanger, they made the decision to replace the furnace as well.
