My wife and I are dedicating the rest of our god given days to save and create awareness to the inhumanity that slaughter bound horses are subjected to from our fellow humans whether intentional or not it’s a tragedy to know that a baby horse can be born and bred for the sole purpose of meat harvesting, to us and millions of other people around the world would agree that a horse , especially a baby horse is a gift , and the majestic beautiful animal that helped build and farm for hundreds of years before engines were created is being so mistreated and so misused , it breaks our hearts and we are committed to saving as many of them from certain death in an auction circuit and kill pen , just this year we have saved two pregnant mares and one is not born yet and one is a fabulous little c**t that absolutely adores our daughter. We are applying for non profit but most of the funds to save these beautiful deserving animals comes from my salary, we are a small farm but big enough to save many more of these kill pen bound horses , most of the time these horses are very sick and require every bit of my income and then some , so I am not ashamed to beg , borrow and work very hard to pay the staggering veterinary bills until we can get help from bigger entities when we do have non profit status , so for my birthday which is thanksgiving! And a Christmas gift to a deserving cause if you have it to give or share our story of hope for these animals I beg of you to help our cause to give the medical care and quality food for them , I’m setting our farm up to give these horses a permanent home to live out their days with dignity and quality of life without any expectations with the exception of company and love to a special needs child or person , a wounded warrior , a veteran in need , all are welcome at no cost to come to our farm to feel the love and calming abilities these animals have naturally yet is overlooked and in most cases discarded when we save them from kill pen auctions . This is just one baby horse we have saved this year , we have saved several more that will have a permanent home at our farm sanctuary, we just rescued “Iris” who is sick and in need of medical care , AND SHE IS ALSO PREGNANT “!! Please help us save this baby and her sick mom so they can also live out their days at the sanctuary just like this little guy “Ren” who absolutely loves our daughter and to think we saved his mother who was scheduled for slaughter within 48 hours of us saving her , just this one life and this one picture answers any question you might have is this worth it? I believe it is and Ren and his mom will have a great life from here on out . ❤️thank you again !

We will do the best we can to give this poor girl a place to live out the rest of her days with love and dignity, and those who know what we’ve done for others poor souls headed to their last ride know that they all live with love and dignity now , help us help her! You won’t be disappointed! No good horse deserves to be killed for food or any reason before their time ❤️

I’m proud of my wife’s dedication to helping these animals in need and proud that we have already started saving lives that people have let down , let’s be the good humans that help these beautiful majestic animals and be the good humans they deserve and should have in their lives and not the ones that let them down , help if you can and share if you will , thanks for taking the time to read our story ! ** I’m so excited to announce, Haven’s Gate Farm Sanctuary.
We are a small, private, family operated farm. Although we are Not currently a 501c3 sanctuary, we are in the beginning stages of filing for our nonprofit status. We do ever so gratefully, accept donations of supplies, funds, or volunteered time from people who wish to support our efforts.
Our mission is to help save the lives of slaughter bound, geriatric, or otherwise at risk horses and farm animals and give them a new purpose and a safe place to live out their days. Serving to offer humans a social, educational, or energetic experience at the sanctuary and through positive physical interactions with the animals.
Currently there are 4 rescue horses who are permanent sanctuary residents, Haven, Lotus, baby Ren, and Iris. We’ve also taken in two kittens who needed us. The horses are currently being boarded at another farm until we can raise funding to remove 5 toxic sycamore trees and finish fencing.
Please consider donating to the GoFundMe campaign, or one of our wish lists in the comments. There are several items needed for the animals daily care and maintenance.
All donations or donated items goes directly to the cost, care and necessities of the sanctuary animals well being.

We know times are tough for a lot of folks right now , and our story is not just about one sick horse that we have saved from a brutal organization and situation. We have rescued many horses over the years and in the beginning of this specific story without knowing Lotus’s story ,who’s name was a number tag on her hip ,then we gave her a name of a beautiful flower which barely describes this absolutely beautiful horse inside and out ,whom was cast into an organization that is basically a kill pen composed of eclectic farm animals sentenced to death. The majority of these animals were just sent to this organization not because they are necessarily ill but just couldn’t be cared for and a large portion of these animals become ill after they are all put together in the kill pens . My wife and I saw something in this beautiful creature, so within our own struggling personal economy we rescued her not knowing she was ill from multiple illnesses including terminal cancer , so with a lot of testing and plans to euthanize her in a loving farm so she could pass on knowing she was loved became a last resort plan when some of the testing revealed that she is pregnant in late trimesters. So , my wife and I opted for treatment and care which is a priority now in our life , she underwent needed surgery and treatment to give better odds to deliver this beautiful little foal that is healthy and is very close to delivery. We just knew there was a glow about her in our hearts ♥️ and I am so grateful for following our hearts and buying some more time . Today lotus is healing and in a state of remission and is otherwise getting healthier by the day to deliver this little beauty she has inside of her . We plan on giving lotus and baby Lo a fabulous life on our loving farm and have plans to spoil and shower this mom and baby with love , dignity and more love once they are well enough to come to the farm . We are in the process of a nonprofit organization to dedicate our lives to helping the community, opening our farm for veterans and special needs families that just need a break , my wife and I have and still continue to help anyone in need along with two of our own special needs children and veterans . We are hoping and planning to build a living classroom on our farm to serve our community and provide support and education to anyone in our community who is in need whether it’s a veteran who just needs a little care and a chance to learn about farm animals and their care or a career change , or a special needs family who needs the same break . We plan on growing healthy natural and non gmo produce to feed our needing community also . And the farm animals bring joy to children and adults no matter what their life status is and that’s why we are rescuing these farm animals as well because they need us as much as we need them to bring love and hope to all of us , and this is why it is important to my wife and I , we have a beautiful farm and space , we just need help to keep this dream alive for well beyond what we can provide ourselves, which we go without a lot of things and give all we have to help other families and animals. Keep your eye out for MoonGun farm because we have great plans to do great things for mankind and the animal kingdom.
