Wind damage on low-slope commercial roofs usually starts at the perimeter and corners, where uplift pressure is highest.
When edge metal or coping lifts, wind can get under the membrane and carry the damage into the rest of the roof. After high winds, check your roofline from the ground for: bent, lifted, or misaligned edge metal and coping; gaps between the trim and the wall; and membrane bulging or moving near the edge.
Loose perimeter components should be secured before winter. Spot something? Call Schultz Roofing for a free roof assessment.
