Got a call for a plumbing issue with this absolutely gorgeous pool and spa combo with a beautiful pebble finish in the pool and spa. Anyway, we started diagnosing the issue of no power coming from the returns. Well, we figured out that the guy who installed the valve actuators for the return lines, never installed it correctly and had it closing off the returns and only had the spa jets open. On top of that he also had both valve actuators wired into the panel incorrectly as well so they never functioned properly when you hit the button on the iS4 controller at the spa. We fixed the wiring and then got all the return eyes for the returns in the pool and spa so now the filter properly circulates the water around.

Day 3 of this job was getting the electrical moved and mounted up to a new mounting frame. Ran some new conduit and ran new 12/2 from the existing junction to the timer. Ran 2 separate 12/2 lines in accordance with the existing circuits, 240V for the timer/pump and 120V for the outlet and pool light. We also mounted and wired up the new Hayward AquaRite Salt Generator. Thus concluding our work this filtration system.

So about a week or so ago we did this job. This was one hell of a job. We had to move all that electrical that was falling over and replumb the entire filtration system minus the intake side of the pump. We installed a new Pentair multiport valve along with a new Hayward T-15 Salt Cell and Controller. We moved the electrical to where the heater use to be (but that’s day 3). Days 1 & 2 we were replumbing. We also had to install new valves for the returns due to installing a new salt cell.

Did a service call last week for a pool pump issue. Issue at first seemed like a breaker issue or chlorinator or pump issue as the breaker would trip immediately. So we diagnosed the issue found that the breaker, panel and chlorinator were fine. The issue was coming from the pump. So we took the control panel off the Pentair Intelliflow VS pump and inspected everything, but couldn’t find anything. So we flipped the breaker back on and plugged the controller back onto the pump head and she started working again without tripping the breaker. She’s been working ever since.

Back out here yesterday at our clients house replacing both pool lights with brand new Hayward ColorLogic 4.0 527LED Lights. A nice quick easy job or removing the old and installing the new. These lights are bad ass as they have many different light shows that can be switched through simply by turning them off and on.

Got the water to the point where I can take the vacuum out and let her fill the rest of the way. While she was filling, we attempted to work on the “Pool Right Side” lights, but evidently found more Left Side lights. We found a ridiculous amount of unnecessary wire for the run for the waterfall lights that we found also went to 4 more lights. There was no wire management or even a wire plan done when they did this. We ended up finding the start of the Right Side lights, but couldn’t go any further as they have a bad transformer. But now we can officially say we have completed the “Pool Left Side” lights minus 1 replacement light that needs to be replaced on the waterfall. Once she filled up we found we had a leak right at the return as the liner pulled down. So we patched that and that’s good to go.

While the pool was filling we jumped back into getting some of the electrical figured out. Found that these 2 GFCI’s were bad. The one had actually some how touched wires and burned through the ground and hot wire leaving it only connected by the neutral. The other was just bad. As both of these were connected to the same breaker just on separate lines. While doing this we noticed that all the flower box lights were on, they have a loose connection we have to take care of. We fixed the timer on them for now. We got the “Pool Left Side” lights just about completed finished as we got the lights around the waterfall working again.

We got the last of the water out and started patching holes in the bottom. We then took our trusty Rigid 5.0 HP vacuum and stuck it behind the liner and started sucking the liner back tight to the pool. We got the wrinkles out and started filling her up.
