Gerace Construction Company is a small/medium-sized heavy civil GC based out of Midland, MI. We manufacture structural steel components for the hydroelectric industry in our AISC certified fabrication shop and produce architectural precast concrete.
Currently, we are looking for an Auto CAD Draftsman for structural steel and architectural precast projects. Detailing will include precast wall panels, foundations, footings, anchor bolts, rebar/re-steel, and misc. structures for steel fabrication.
The Auto CAD Draftsman will support the development, design, and construction of facility-related projects from conception through construction.
The candidate should be highly motivated, possess good communication skills, and feel comfortable taking a leadership role as part of a project team. This position will involve the preparation of plans and specifications of systems relating to the design of industrial buildings and sites.

Qualifications
• Designers should possess a HS diploma minimum and be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic industrial construction concepts.
• Technical (non-degreed) personnel should have at least 5+ years of experience showing increasing project involvement and responsibility
• Candidate should be fluent in AutoCAD and be able to verify dimensions and perform calculations to verify member fit-up (eg. bolt hole locations)
• Candidate with Solidworks experience is a plus
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment
