❄️Ice on the ground with snow in the forecast doesn’t mean we’re standing still. 🧊

Following the recent ice storm—and with snow in the forecast—there hasn’t been a ton of masonry and concrete happening around the Charlotte area. But just before the weather rolled in, the CMIX Concrete & Masonry team made a big push to keep projects moving.

Over the past stretch, our crews were able to knock out work across multiple job sites to keep our builder's schedules on track!

✅ Footings poured
✅ Masonry Foundations completed
✅ Poured-in-place concrete walls stripped
✅ Mono-Slabs poured some large turndowns
✅ Townhome slabs poured
✅ Brick Veneers completed

Big credit to our crews for hustling ahead of the weather and setting our builder partners up for success once conditions clear. We’re ready to get right back after it as soon as Mother Nature cooperates. Stay warm and safe this weekend!

🌧Rain delays may have slowed us down, but they haven’t stopped us! ☀️

After a couple long wet weeks here in the Charlotte area, the CMIX Concrete & Masonry team is making a big push to keep our concrete projects moving forward. To close out the week, we’re back at it showcasing a few of these projects:

✅ Two new mono-slab pours side-by-side
✅ A basement footing for a new customer being readied to pour same day
✅ A 5-unit townhome building fully prepped and ready to pour as well

✅ Custom Home in Davidson, NC – Completed a clean and solid poured wall, setting the foundation for an amazing custom home.
✅ Ballantyne Brick Veneer – Finished with some traditional and timeless Red Brick appeal—just the way we like it. Shout out to the team putting some finishing touches on a few privacy walls.
✅ Masonry Foundation – Another solid foundation in the books. Our crew delivered a clean and efficient CMU foundation, laying the groundwork for a beautiful new home to come.
✅ Mono Slabs – From boxing forms to pouring, finishing, and completing them, our crew continues to deliver consistency and quality week after week.

Today, our team is hard at work in a brand-new community in the Greater Charlotte Area, where we are pouring FOUR monolithic slab foundations utilizing a boom pump. Despite a rainy forecast tomorrow, we remain on track to pour these six additional monolithic slabs before the end of the week and 20+ more in the coming week(s)—demonstrating our commitment to delivering results, rain or shine.

When the original brick and mortar are no longer available, it takes experience to seamlessly match the brick and mortar so they blend in with the original masonry, it takes craftsmanship to lay the brick in a herringbone pattern and it takes pride in your work to make the final product look like an intentional detail.

It's about time for another "What in the Charlotte Area has the CMIX team been up to!" We have been Building Excellence, One Project at a Time Despite the Cold and Wet Weather that's what we have been up to!

Here are a few sneak peak pictures of our latest projects!
📍 Brick Veneer Custom Home on Lake Norman – This stunning home features a Hamilton Brick By General Shale with white mortar and washed white sand, creating a timeless and elegant look.
📍 Townhome Projects – Showcasing a modern take on traditional red brick, this first townhomes blends contemporary and classic styles for a striking finish. Additionally, materials are staged and ready for next week’s townhome build featuring Evelyn Bay by Triangle Brick.
📍 Mono and Stem-wall Slabs making way for multiple townhomes and single family homes in the process of being prepped or completed. Our team has been hard at work prepping, boxing, and completing numerous projects despite the winter weather we have been facing over the last few months.
