So you want the story of RVA Restoration? The company was originally founded in 2011 under the name FireKleen. Jeremy Ford was brought in to hit the reset button on the whole operation in August of 2015 after the company cleaned house. He was hired as the general manager and promptly changed the name to RVA Restoration to better identify with the city that we are all passionate about. He worked for a major home insurance carrier for 15 years as a property adjuster and manager of property adjusters in the Richmond area. Later he bought the company outright, with his wife, in early 2017.
There was a very clear vision from the begining to make RVA Restoration the best one stop shop in Richmond. Years in the insurance industry had shown him that there was a disconnect for customers having to find one company to handle the emergency response, and another company to fix everything after the initial clean up and dryout was done. The other major concern was the customers lack of understanding and guidance on how insurance coverages related to their damages and how it would all be broken down and paid for.
We pride ourselves on having the most extensive insurance knowledge in our industry because of the backgrounds of our key figures within the company. We take away the stress of not knowing. We have seen almost every situation our customers are presented with. We also remove the confusion of understanding what your adjuster is telling you by playing the role of translator at times. We work hand in hand with those adjusters regularly and we make sure everyone is on the same page.
The insurance company is not the enemy like they are portrayed at times. We know this because we worked on the other side of the fence. They do care about their customers and typically want the best resolution possible. It just has to be done the right way and fit within the insurance policy guidelines. We want to help facilitate that interaction, or at least further explain it when needed. We will leave you with a home that is completely repaired and a lasting impression that there are contractors out there that know what they’re doing and care about all involved.
