Check out this huge swarm of honeybees that came to live with us. It unfolds as you watch it. I have been doing this for 50 + years so I have learned when you need protection and can go with out it. So, wear your bee veil when needed & enjoy the magnificient world of the honeybee.

Hello to my family of beekeepers. I, my son Sean and Chris Palmer of Dadant are doing classes on beekeeping for beginner and early career beekeepers. The Eternal shelf live of honey. When archeologists were excavating the tombs of the Kings of Egypt. They found clay urns with an unknown hard substance in them. It was later identified as yes, HONEY. Most of these urns of honey were over 3,000 years old and due to crystallization, were very hard. The Smithsonian Magazine has published a detailed account of this discovery and how they put the aged honey to the test. After their scientific testing, they concluded that the 3,000 year old honey was still edible and coined honey the "Eternal Food".
