If you smell something, call a professional. Another bad breaker ruining a whole panel. Thankfully we were able to get to replace this panel and restore power, more importantly the air conditioning.

Just some advice when owning an older home/older panel. If you smell plastic burning near/around your panel, this could be whats happening to your panel bus inside. Sometimes, it's the breaker that wears out and damages the bus or vice versa. No matter which, if you experience such a smell, a breaker just Will not reset or perhaps is Hot to the touch--please call an experienced licensed electrician. If you have such a friend--have them check it out, but if it's your handyman or someone's "guy", don't set yourself up for future failure, time is of the essence. Perhaps your panel can be saved if repaired in time.
