Lamar Odom suffered a near-fatal drug overdose in 2015 which resulted in him being placed in a coma. He suffered 12 strokes and six heart attacks but miraculously came back from the brink, despite doctors initially telling him he would 'probably never walk and talk again'.
Although she had already filed for divorce from him, Khloe Kardashian admirably stayed by his side throughout this difficult time.
"This is my husband," she said while reflecting on this period a new Netflix doc. "Through sickness and health, I have to be there for him. I have to show up for him.
"And I was gonna do everything I could to make sure that he had the best fighting chance. I just trusted myself more than I trusted anyone in his circle."
Lamar has come a long way since then and recently celebrated being 60 days 'completely sober', while explaining he now 'just wants to live my best life and be happy' 🙏
During an appearance on Today with Jenna and Sheinelle, the hosts praised Khloe for 'riding hard for him' and 'saving his life'. They then asked if Lamar shares this perspective towards the mother-of-two.
He responded: "In some ways...God saved my life. My lord saved my life, honestly. Yeah, [Khloe] took care of me, but God took care of me the most. What I came back from is like a medical miracle."
