Team Members, don't forget to include your family in the safety discussions. Even two and five year olds know "Hard hats protect you if something falls on your head."

Email your kids'/grandkids' hard hat designs to [email protected] by Friday May 15th. Your supervisor can help. The Safety Committee will vote on the best design, and every kid that participates will receive a small thank you gift.

Every jobsite visit focuses on team building, and it must include Chick-fil-A! Toolbox Talks hit home when we discuss our WHY. Everyone has one. Having the right PPE, tools, and resources is vital, but being safe starts with an attitude of personal ownership and caring.

Every safe act starts with someone taking the time to care - caring about being and doing their best, the welfare of those they love and their colleagues, and the success of the company. Safety benefits everyone!

Research from the Construction Safety Research Alliance reveals that during typical pre-task plan briefings, construction workers identify only 45% of the hazards they face. Congratulations to (L to R) Blake Miller, Project Manager; Forrest Cramer, General Foreman Laborer; and Casey Sumner, Journeyman Cement Mason, on completing Collaborative Leadership training in Las Vegas in March!

It was a valuable experience in strengthening leadership, collaboration, and communication skills as they completed various activities as a team throughout the training. And, there is nothing like a little fun and comradery to reinforce the rewards of working together to build a successful project. This is one way we invest in our employees at The Delventhal Company.
