At Knollwood, WESKetch transforms a once-disjointed Short Hills split-level without removing the existing structure—reshaping it into a richly detailed shingle-style residence organized around light, circulation, and connection.

Intersecting Dutch gables redefine the front elevation, a sweeping entry introduces a stronger sense of arrival, and newly opened ceilings help unify spaces once separated by half-level transitions.

The result is not simply a cosmetic remodel, but a complete rethinking of how the home lives and flows.

An outdoor space designed for entertaining, relaxing, and everything in-between.

Set in the heart of historic Short Hills, this transformation reimagines a traditional property through a more modern architectural lens. Our clients wanted an outdoor environment that reflected the clean, contemporary aesthetic of their home’s interior while creating a destination for gathering year-round.

The finished pavilion anchors the space with a fully integrated outdoor kitchen, lounge seating, and dedicated media area, all positioned alongside a custom plunge pool with a dramatic vanishing edge. Warm wood ceilings, natural stone surfaces, and layered landscaping create a balance between refined modern detailing and the surrounding woodland setting.

Thoughtful elements like the covered retreat space and integrated television make the pavilion equally suited for quiet afternoons poolside or hosting friends for game day and summer evenings outdoors.

A timeless restoration and modern layout for today’s active lifestyle.

Windsong, a Victorian shingle beach house with a tower in Seaside Park, had all the character and presence you’d expect on Barnegat Bay—but years of salty winds, intense sun, and layered on renovations had taken their toll.

Working from historic photographs, we set about restoring the home’s pristine charm while quietly upgrading it for modern life. Inside, the living spaces were smartly reconfigured to handle extended family visits, and the old baths were replaced with three new bathrooms stacked within an impressive tower feature.

The result is a bayside home that feels both timeless and thoroughly up to date, whether you see it in the warm glow of evening light or against a clear blue morning sky.
