Laid down nearly 30 trees this morning and no sooner then getting the tractor and winch going to start clean up the winch cable decided it was time to call it quits. After 2 hours of cutting and prying knotted cable it’s out and now trying to find 100’ of 7-16” winch cable. Anyone in the tri-town area have cable laying around hahahaha. And Tractor Supply does not have the right size, already visited them. Back at it tomorrow morning.

Up up and away these large 90-100’ White Pine Trees are being removed from in front of the customers camp so when the wind blows the camp stops moving 👀. Over the years the trees expanded root systems have grown under the camp sill and is now starting to cause issues. Burning of brush will start tomorrow and will probably take until Sunday to complete. Then on to the next one.

Well that’s a wrap on the house lot for now, it produced about 15 cord of firewood, nearly 1600bf of Spruce, 800bf of Hemlock, some nice Pine logs and about 20 yards of wood chips. I’m sure I’ll be back to thin out a little more once the house location is marked out. Smith Pond see you Monday.

Small Time Logging a subsidiary of AT&L (lol) is back at it again clearing a lot for a new home to be built. I believe we have every spices of tree going on this track of land. Hemlock, White Pine, Spruce, Balsam Fir, Cedar, White Birch, Yellow Birch, Silver Maple, Rock Maple and I’ve even cut a few Striped Maple. Should be done here by Wednesday and moving on to the next job weather permitting of course.
