Began constructing a TrueGrid pervious pavement driveway last week. This one is backfilled with limestone chips, but other decorative color stone or a vegetative backfill is also an option. This systems allows water to pass through and percolate into the ground rather than run off into creeks or storm sewers.
MSD offers small grants through it's "Project Clear Rainscaping Small Grants Program" to help with the cost. Beyond the grant, there may be credits against the MSD Stormwater Service Charge for qualifying projects.

Here are some videos of one of our latest dredging projects removing 16,000 cubic yards of sediment using our Morooka LGP truck to move around in the lake bottom. Also utilizing our 60 foot long reach excavator, dozer, and 40 ton off road truck.
The Morooka was able to easily move around the lake bottom due to it's 6 psi ground pressure loaded.
