📢 Tip Tuesday 📢

Before winter hits, give your home’s safety sensors a quick check — cold weather changes how your house runs, and these devices are your first line of defense when everything starts staying closed up for the season.

As windows stay shut and the furnace kicks on, your home relies heavily on sensors to keep air safe and systems running correctly. A fast check now prevents winter headaches later.

What to check before winter:

• Carbon monoxide detectors: Furnaces run longer in winter. Make sure your CO detectors aren’t expired and test the alarm tone.

• Smoke detectors: Dust builds up during summer. A quick vacuum around the edges helps them detect faster.

• Dryer vent sensor (if you have one): Winter laundry loads get heavier. Make sure lint buildup isn’t blocking airflow.

• Smart thermostat sensors: Cooler temps can throw off readings if sensors are dirty or blocked by décor.

Bonus smart move:
Replace batteries in all detectors now. Fresh batteries heading into winter = peace of mind all season.

Small checks now keep your home safe when everything starts running harder in cold weather. 🏠❄️
