A sneak peak at our work with Shawano County as master planning and courthouse and jail plans were made public at last month's county board meeting.

Venture Architects Principal and Vice President, Cory Beyer was quoted saying, “In that connection between the justice center and the existing jail is basically a sally port … and jail support,” Beyer said. “We’d have a new kitchen, laundry area, new intake and then a 15-bed housing pod.”

Venture Architects is proud to celebrate the opening of the Marathon County Forensic Science Center at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.

From concept to completion, this seven-year project was made possible through collaboration with the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office, Marathon County Facilities, Northcentral Technical College (NTC), and Miron Construction Co., Inc. The facility will serve multiple counties across north central Wisconsin.

The center will streamline cases, reduce travel for families, and provide valuable educational opportunities for NTC and Medical College of Wisconsin students. We’re honored to have been part of this milestone and enjoyed a wonderful opening ceremony!

The Door County Community Center serves dual purposes as the home of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) and as the headquarters for the county’s Emergency Services Department. It's transformed and renovated from a landmark 1930s highway shop in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Golfing for a great cause! 🏌️‍♂️

We had an amazing day on the greens with our friends, The Samuels Group, at the Tees for Kids Golf Outing. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Marshfield Children's Hospital, helping children throughout northern and central Wisconsin receive the health care they need.

🧑‍⚖️ Project Spotlight: Sawyer County Courthouse Expansion

The Challenge:
Accommodate a new courtroom after an additional judge was assigned to Sawyer County Courthouse.

Our Solution:
After our study, we recommended connecting the courthouse and jail through a new addition. We worked with the county to close East 5th Street and strategically positioned the new courtroom to reduce public foot traffic and further separate inmates, staff, and the public.
