BIG THANK YOU to Alex Kimmet, Matt Janecke and Mitch (Turbo) Wilk for leading a tour of our MKE Rep Project on Wednesday, October 30th! They did a great job as they showed over 55 young construction professionals of the AGC of Milwaukee’s Construction Leadership Council through multiple stops throughout the heavily demoed facility.

Alex Kimmet sits on the CLC’s Steering Committee and was approached about having us lead a tour of this challenging and high-profile project. The CLC is an organization nurturing the next generation of construction professionals and leaders in our community.

The large group included the Managing Director of the Rep Melissa Vartanian, Executive Director of Building Advantage Chris Mambu Rasch, and Executive Director of the AGC of Greater Milwaukee Mark Kessenich. They assembled about 4:30PM and the tours were over by 6PM. Everyone enjoyed the tour and wants to come back in August of 2025 when the project is nearing completion.

About the Milwaukee Rep Project –

We were selected Construction Manager/General Contractor for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s $78 million Renovation Project. This 152,000 SF project located at 108 E Wells Street in downtown Milwaukee, in an extensive renovation that includes building a new theater and renovating its 1988 Powerhouse Theater complex, built in and around the 1900 Oneida Street Power Station. The new Associated Bank Theater Center will become the theater’s main performance space with a flexible configuration, the addition of a fly loft, improved seating and sightlines, improved accessibility, and up-to-date production technology. A new flexible black box studio theater will have more seats, more easily transformable performance space and a new lobby with expanded restrooms, a bar and gathering spaces. The center, which will be constructed in the space along Wells Street between The Pabst Theater and the former power station, will also include a grand, open and cascading lobby that will connect all of the spaces. There will also be food and beverages, a gift shop, a donor’s lounge, and an events space. The project also includes the addition of an education and engagement center. The targeted grand opening of the new Associated Bank Theater Center is in fall 2025.
