On-call for AFTER every snowfall ends. Shifts are usually 4-8 hours. If there’s 13” snowfall it can be 15 hours (BIG BONUSES)! - maybe once every other year!

Starting at $21 per hour (INCLUDES A $1 PER HOUR ATTENDANCE BONUS FOR BE ON TIME!).

Plus a POSSIBLE $1-$5 per hour bonus for your performance, attendance and weather. The smarter you work, the more you make!

Paid on-site at the end of every shift.

30-40 hours per week. 8-4-ish hour days, Monday – Friday

YOU ARE PAID TO SPEED WALK. 3-4 days per week a 2-3 man team will mow 16-21 residential lawns with self-propelled walk behinds.

Could you mow 6-8 lawns per Day by yourself?

At the end of the week, we do landscaping.

Unrestricted valid State of Wisconsin License (must be verifiable) with a relatively clean record

This is a fast-paced job that requires A LOT OF COMMON SENSE! YOU MUST BE A MATURE ADULT.

Must be physically fit. Able to lift up to 85lb on occasion.

Good attitude

Completes tasks in a timely manner.

Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.

NO SLACKERS!

Takes pride in work, is detail oriented, does it right the first time in a professional fashion.

Good communication skills: following instructions, listening.

Must be able to learn

Adult skills; Able find job sites,

Mechanical knowledge a plus, Can you use tools? Fix a toilet? Change oil?

I thought I'd post this for those of you who did know what an incredible joke TruGreen is.

This is my neighbor's property. They did their first application about a week ago. Last year they did their final application December 4th! In our area, the final application should be much later than October 15th.

When the soil in your yard is just a big dirty ice cube, most of what they spray on your lawn just ends up in our rivers and lakes. When the grass is dormant, there's no uptake of herbicides or nutrients such as nitrogen. Obviously, this does nothing for your lawn. This is what you pay for.

None of this is debatable. It's science. This is what has been proven by university professors who have PhDs in turf management and soil science.

Snow Mold

You may have noticed some new damage on your lawn this spring since the snow melted. This may be Snow Mold. There are 2 different kinds in our area. They can be caused by weather conditions like the ground not being frozen in fall before the snow falls and sticks to the ground. Also, ice forming on your lawn where water pools will do damage and keep gases trapped that will damage the lawn.

This can also be exacerbated by

1. Too much nitrogen being applied to your lawn in fall.

2. Too much potassium being applied to your lawn in fall.

3. Nitrogen being applied after October first.

4. Mowing your grass too short in fall.

Most of the time these spots will go away as there is more days light and it gets warmer. Usually, there is little to no permanent damage. If this is not the case, give us a call.
