The 50 Stars: The 50 white stars on a blue field form a constellation representing the current 50 states that make up the United States.
The Colors: While there is no official statutory meaning assigned to the flag's colors, the Continental Congress adopted the same colors for the Great Seal in 1782, which are:
Red: Valor, hardiness, and courage.
White: Purity, innocence, and liberty.
Blue: Vigilance, perseverance, and justice
