๐Ÿšฐ Hydrant Flushing Notice ๐Ÿšฐ

The City of Mineral Point Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the community. Residents may notice temporary discoloration of water and slight fluctuations in water pressure during this process.

Hydrant flushing is an important part of maintaining our water system, helping to ensure water quality and reliable fire protection.

If you experience discolored water, run cold water from a faucet for several minutes until it clears. We also recommend checking your water before doing laundry.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to maintain and improve our water system. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall or the Water Department.

WATER MAIN BREAK - WATER STREET

There is a water main break on Water Street.

Since this street has become somewhat of a thoroughfare during construction, crews will keep the road passable as they work. We will update this post if the road becomes impassable for any reason.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

The City of Mineral Point would like to thank residents for their patience following the recent storm.

We understand there is a significant amount of storm debris and cleanup needed throughout the community. Our crews are actively assessing damage and working through cleanup efforts as quickly and safely as possible. Due to the volume of work, it will take some time to reach all affected areas.

Please know that we are committed to restoring our streets, parks, and public spaces and will get to all cleanup locations as soon as we can. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as our staff works diligently to address storm-related issues.

*Friendly reminder that brush pick-up is scheduled for Monday, June 15th. The City cannot pick up limbs that are longer than 6' in length and wider than 6" in diameter. If you have debris from the storm, please make sure to cut the branches down to size if you want the City to take it.*
