Side-wall plumbing vent termination ✌🏼

High performance homes (like this passive house project by & ) go the extra mile in eliminating and better controlling penetrations thru the building’s exterior. Additionally, unnecessary roof penetrations are avoided, that leads us to side-wall plumbing vent termination.

This product is providing an alternative to a plain plumbing vent pipe (like sch 40 pvc or no hub cast iron etc).

I don’t know much about the product t but it appears a banded coupling would be required to transition from pvc or cast iron to the plastic pipe termination.

Thoughts? Is this better looking than a plain pipe and/or a couple fittings?

Using the sun to heat water isn’t new but it’s cool af if you ask me. It’s like having a boiler on your roof, only hotter.

We were down in Houston at facility to learn about some new products coming (I can’t talk about those yet)

The building is LEED Platinum (first project to achieve in Texas at the time of construction), we were able to see the mechanical systems which is always cool.

Keep your eyes and ears open for an announcement about the new products coming ahead of the upcoming fall heating season.
